reStart Inc.

This Fall, our chapter chose to support reStart Inc., An Interfaith Ministry with Homeless Persons. Please review the flyer.

A BIG THANK YOU to all who supported our community service project for reStart, Inc. They were very grateful for all the toiletries, linens, makeup, and other contributed items. We also raised $410 that is being matched by AGA National for a total cash contribution to reStart of $820!!! GREAT JOB, GUYS!! As usual, the chapter was very generous and supportive of our community service project. We will be collecting food and cash donations for Harvesters for the next two months (just like last year). In November and December we will be collecting toys and cash contributions for Toys for Tots. Again, thank you all for your support of our community service projects!

This spring, our chapter adopted a seven year-old girl through the Make a Wish Foundation. Her name is Shae, and she is from Liberty, MO. Shae has been diagnized with retinoblastoma. Her wish is to go to Disney World! Here are a few more facts about Shae:

  • She loves all things Disney and can't wait to meet Mickey and see Cinderella's castle.
  • In her spare time she loves to draw rainbows, flours, houses and more. She also reads all kinds of books and writes stories.
  • Her favorites are pizza, the Kansas City Cheifs, art class and chocolate.

She has returned from Orlando, Flordia where she stayed at the Give Kids the World Resort with her mom, dad, and two brothers (two and four years old).
